Physics at this level is all about the relationships between events in the physical world, such as how much an object accelerates when forces act on it. These relationships are described by equations and this is the language of physics. The majority of all exam questions are, in some way or another, testing your knowledge of these relationships, your ability to use them and what the concepts mean.
So you should realise how important it is for you to learn laws, formulae and definitions. Additional information in your notes will probably be introductions, experiments, details and examples for these relationships. Some experiments and examples will be crucial ones that you are expected to know about. For example, in several specifications air bags and crumple zones are specific examples that you should be able to describe in terms of physics principles.
